Last month the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) banned cell phones. It’s about time.

With just under 600,000 students, LAUSD is the second largest school system in the United States, so this ban sets a precedent. It was needed, because the current generation of young people is being lost to the most invasive, corrosive, destructive innovation in modern history—the smart phone. And although both sexes have been affected, it is girls who are being lost to a narcissistic transformation that makes them unaccountable, delusional, and incapable of healthy partnership with the opposite sex.
