At the medical conference I attended recently, a colleague told me that ketamine saved his life. He suffered a concussive traumatic brain injury four years ago that plunged him into a two-year long depression. After exhausting every conventional treatment, he decided to try ketamine. "It brought me back to life." He was able to return to work with energy and focus, re-engage with his family, and tap into a creative power he had lost after the injury. He lives in a rural area in another state. "Now, I drive to a clinic in town every three or four months and receive a treatment. I spend about a day in a detached, floating, introspective state, and then I return to my life feeling emotionally re-balanced, ready to take on anything I choose." He credits the ketamine treatments with curing his depression and healing his brain.
