I had high hopes for 2025. Our government in Washington was reconstituting. Freedom was on the ascension. The economy, bludgeoned nearly to death by four years of corporate globalism, was finally starting to show signs of life.

It was not to be.

Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Gas prices remained at double what they were during the first Trump presidency. Few major legislative accomplishments occurred, largely due to unified Democrat intransigence--proving once more that anyone with a "D" after their name is aligned purely with toxicity and destruction. Those who vote for these people remain fools or complicit conspirators. There is no third option. None.

Urban America remains a hellscape, with the exception of Republican-controlled metropolises, which are largely thriving. My home city of Los Angeles is now bankrupt, having ceded over $3 billion to class-action ambulance chasing attorneys to pay off unsubstantiated claims of sexual abuse from the 1960s perpetrated by individuals who are now dead to alleged victims who were too young at the time to be credible witnesses today. Sounds a lot like reparations for slavery.

Interest rates remain so high that no one can afford to buy a home. Those who want to sell can't, because most people who sell their home need to buy another one. Everything costs at least twice as much as it did in 2019, yet salaries have not risen--except for minimum wage employees who mop the floor at Chipotle at LAX. They will soon be earning $30 / hour. No English required. Meanwhile, doctors are earning $20 / hour, after every subgroup of the government mafia pilfers from their labor. So we have no more doctors. They've all retired or converted to cash concierge. I don't blame them. But illegal aliens are first in line at the ER, with 100% coverage from the recent expansion of Medical by California Governor Newsom to include non-citizen criminals. That is why the state of California is now bankrupt.

It could be worse, of course. Had Republicans not succeeded in taking back all three branches of government, we likely would no longer have a nation at all. We would be serfs, perhaps owned by China. Who really knows. But it would have been necessary, for those with means, to abandon their home and relocate to a foreign land. I have little doubt of that.

Can we do better next year? Hard to say. Every meaningful move by our current government is stymied by blocs of professional politicians who despise the United States and pray for its demise. Voters continue to elect their own executioners. Witness the recent mayor election in NYC, or the theater of the absurd that is Minneapolis, a city now stolen by Islamist Somalis invited by elected officials to bankrupt the state through massive fraud expected to total over $19 billion. Any effort to prosecute is denounced as racist and Islamophobic.

Most Americans are idiots. They don't learn. They root for the wrong team...every time.

This year, 2026, I will be making a conscious effort to simply filter out the riffraff that constitute the bulk of urban America. They are unredeemable. They aren't deserving of our attention. Like a miner, I will cast aside the dirt to locate the gems. There are outstanding individual Americans who are doing excellent work. I fear, though, that there simply aren't enough to save us.

With that said, Happy New Year 2026!
