The left employs gaslighting as its primary tool in fending off challenges from the opposition. The expression comes from the 1930s movie Gas Light where a husband convinces his wife she is crazy by repeatedly dimming the gas lights in their home and then denying the change. As she grows to doubt her own sanity, he succeeds in gaining psychological control over her through his lies and manipulation of reality. In individuals, this practice reveals a sociopathy. In ideological movements, it shows an utter disregard for truth and a need to deny reality to clear a path for an immoral agenda.

Leftists rely on gaslighting for one simple reason: They really have no better option.
